We start drafting design plans after the tenancy agreement is signed. This is the fun part where we turn our vision of the centre into reality! We do all the design plans in-house and landlords often require us to submit the full sets of plans before they even allow us to renovate the shop. We also need to buy 3rd party insurance for the renovation works too. Typical plans include the layout plan (the picture in this blog post), ceiling plan (showing lights, AC etc), fire services plan (a plan showing all your fire fighting equipment like sprinkler heads and escape lights), 3D perspective plans (those 3D model interior design plans), electrical outlets plan and electrical schematic diagrams.
Our objective is to get all these plans submitted and approved by the landlord before we get the keys so that as soon as we get the keys to the shop, we can start renovation works!
